I see my friends moving forward. Engagements, Africa..My life is taking of before my eyes as well, but I can't seem to hold onto it.
I need a change of perspective. I love my home. It was important for me to come home after this past semester. It is now important for me to start making decisions.
Blah. Jesus! Let's come up with some answers, You and I.

Merry Christmas, 2010. You will never see me again!
Maybe because I bought the boy a Dr. Suess gift…
Or maybe because I’m just feeling the lift!
Of Christmas joy, from ear to ear,
I feel the need to ryme, my dear!
Although this poem is badly writ,
I bet you’ll smile while reading it!
Today will be a rollercoaster,
(Although not involving my own toaster),
I’m sure the end will seem just grand,
With my baby, holding hands!
At my grandma’s the day begins,
I return home richer, FTW!
We drive and drive through twisty turns,
I count the calories I now need to burn…
Perhaps a nap, to pass the while,
While I await a call from my darling Kyle.
How will this go? I can’t be sure.
But I do know Minnie still has fur.
I miss that boy quite a lot,
But until we move to Camelot,
I’ll save my day-dreams for the man,
That God has waiting (Peter Pan ;)
For if at first you don’t succeed,
Pray to Jesus; DON’T SMOKE WEED!
When sunset dawns this afternoon,
I’m hopeful it will feel just like June.
For instead my turkey-day was shrouded in white,
Day by day, and night by night.
But I do live in clear-LAKE County,
Where snow-pants are found in NO bounty.
I’m afraid this lyric, I now must end,
But take heart, my dear, dear friend!
I will return with more quick-wit,
Just give me Nyquil…I’m sure of it!

Lamberts.
This will most likely be the beginning of a long line of themed posts. The oldest daughter belonging to Tim and Katie (now Niles), being my best friend. Currently I'm tangled up on the lambert's big leather couch...wishing we could go watch Tangled.
Lili, Claire and Rabecca are the only of the older ones home.
Claire and Lisa are baking in the kitchen, and we just got to sample homemade marshmallow heaven :)
Lili just called me a creeper for blogging about them..and for wearing flip-flops in the winter. Pat just called me Olivia Newton-John for wearing leggings and a headband. Ohh my days, this family is wonderful.

Beuhnerkempers.
Tonight I went to St. Mary's youth movie night.
We were "watching" Its a Wonderful Life playing games and having snacks :)
That was the agenda; I got into a theological discussion with Mark&Monica.
This began with my questions about a rosary that Roni had made, and ended with me announcing that dating is stupid. We discussed the Trinity, the transubstantiation of the Eucharist, and the role of the Pope. God must have purposefully blessed this conversation, because instead of ending in tears, I walked out this conversation with a lot more knowledge and a CD with more to give me on the catholic interpretation of the Last Supper. I'm pretty sure Mark and Monica left that room with a better understanding of my home church, and a lot more comfortable feeling about it. It was the bridge between two worlds, people who love God honestly seeking to honor His Word with their beliefs and actions. Open ears, and sharp minds.
Who knew Christmas parties could get so interesting?

December 21, 2010.
Yesterday was wonderful.
Crazy, but wonderful.
Baking cookies with 7 silly, lovely, women of God? Sign me up for next year.
Learned lots of very interesting things about old friends. Very curious for what this next year holds.
One of those old friends became a new friend.
Learned a lot about who I am now, just by living out one day. Seems to be happening a lot lately.
And can I just say...
Dude. Its Tuesday.

Home!
I'm home. THANK GOD.
I'm soooo happy to be back in MY bed, MY house, and most importantly...MY FRIDGE.
This semester has been a long one, but looking in retrospect I feel that it was worth it. I'm excited for the new year. I'm very excited for a break in between semesters also :)
JESUS is so good :)

God is great. Our world is broken.
Today has been teaching me that.
"Love is by grace, and trust is by works." I've heard and said this so many times. I want to love so badly, but my lack of trust for the outside world prevents me from doing so more than it should. God calls me to be unconditional, and yet I am judgmental and selfish.
I am re-created.
I know that He is good, all the time; all the time He is good. His plan for me is love, and I love Him. He is my provider and my healer.
I wish I could always remember that. My foolish heart forgets sometimes.
I'm a dreamer, and I'm headstrong. Not all of my dreams come true. I have to let God replace what my heart yearns for, with what He yearns for.
"Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
~Psalm 37:4

"Hey, don't write yourself off yet
It's only in your head you feel left out
Or looked down on
Just try your best, try everything you can
And don't you worry what they tell themselves
When you're away.
It just takes some time, little girl in the middle of the ride (over, and over)
Everything, everything will be just fine (over, and over) Everything, everything it'll be alright (alright)"
