Maybe because I bought the boy a Dr. Suess gift…
Or maybe because I’m just feeling the lift!
Of Christmas joy, from ear to ear,
I feel the need to ryme, my dear!
Although this poem is badly writ,
I bet you’ll smile while reading it!
Today will be a rollercoaster,
(Although not involving my own toaster),
I’m sure the end will seem just grand,
With my baby, holding hands!
At my grandma’s the day begins,
I return home richer, FTW!
We drive and drive through twisty turns,
I count the calories I now need to burn…
Perhaps a nap, to pass the while,
While I await a call from my darling Kyle.
How will this go? I can’t be sure.
But I do know Minnie still has fur.
I miss that boy quite a lot,
But until we move to Camelot,
I’ll save my day-dreams for the man,
That God has waiting (Peter Pan ;)
For if at first you don’t succeed,
Pray to Jesus; DON’T SMOKE WEED!
When sunset dawns this afternoon,
I’m hopeful it will feel just like June.
For instead my turkey-day was shrouded in white,
Day by day, and night by night.
But I do live in clear-LAKE County,
Where snow-pants are found in NO bounty.
I’m afraid this lyric, I now must end,
But take heart, my dear, dear friend!
I will return with more quick-wit,
Just give me Nyquil…I’m sure of it!
